芝加哥艺术学院夏校之行

暑期夏校分享

       暑期，国际部的学生纷纷走出国门，申请心仪大学的夏校，提前了解学校的生活，丰富自己的视野，增加实践活动的经验，更在这其中收获了珍贵的友情。

        近期，将分享其中部分同学的精彩经历，听他们讲讲暑假的生活。今天的主人公是Charlotte同学，分享她暑期的艺术创作！

        芝加哥艺术学院（SAIC）隶属于芝加哥博物馆，以收藏大量印象派作品以及美国艺术品著称。芝加哥艺术学院和博物馆现在仍是国际公认的美国最领先的两个精密艺术机构。SAIC在2016年U.S.News&WorldReport《美国新闻与世界报道》的艺术学院排名中排名第三。在哥伦比亚大学的《National Arts Journalism》调查中被认证为是全美最具影响力的艺术学院。

School of the Art Institute of Chicago is belong to the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.It was famous by its plentiful collections. They are still two best internationally recognized art organizations in the USA. SAIC is ranking the 3rd place in the art colleges in the U.S.News&World Report of art collegesof 2016. National Arts Journalism of Columbia university recognized it as the most influence art college in the USA.

        芝加哥艺术学院在暑期提供多期课程，诸如艺术，插画或是服装设计等，学生可以自由选择想要参加或感兴趣的项目。我选择的是纯艺术项目，即一门可以让我们在了解不同的艺术家的同时创作自己的艺术项目的课程。芝加哥艺术学院为我提供了奖学金，以鼓励我在艺术上的创作。

SAIC offered several courses during summer holiday, for example fine arts,illustration or fashion design. Students can choose course that they would like to attend. I chose Advanced project, which is a project that can help me develop my personal projects and learn many different contemporary artists as well. SAIC offered me merit scholarship to encourage me to work on art.

       在进行课程的过程中，我了解到了各个时期，各个领域的现代艺术家以及他们的作品。这些介绍不仅让我了解到更多的艺术形式和艺术家，也进一步激发了我的灵感，拓展了我在艺术领域的知识面。而我们课程的另一项重要任务就是让我们发展自己的个人项目。我们在进行创作的过程中可以不断与教授交流探讨，以使我们的作品发展的更加完善。我们也会不断地和教授探讨自己对于艺术的看法，以加深自己对于艺术理解。

During the courses, we will learn about different contemporary artists. These artists can expand our knowledge of art, also inspired me a lot. The another important goal of our course is to develop our personal project. We can discuss with professor whenever we want to develop the works, and also deepen our understanding of art. 

        同时，观展也是我们重要的课程内容之一。我们每周二和周四会有晚间课程，针对不同的项目有不同的内容。而我课程的内容就是观展。在课程期间，我们参观了芝加哥现代美术馆，芝加哥博物馆等。这些展馆不仅有长期展出的艺术作品，也会有定期更新的展览。我们在观展过程中不断扩充自己的艺术知识，也能得到新的启发。

Another important thing for us is to visit the exhibitions. We have evening coursesevery Tuesday and Thursday to do some extended exercise. During the course, we visited the Chicago Morden art museum and Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. There are not only long term exhibitions, but also short term exhibitions. We can always expanded our art knowledge and inspired by this work.

        课程结束之后，SAIC会为我们展出课程中完成的作品。课程并不轻松，如果想要得到学分也需要完成一定量的内容，回到宿舍之后也需要完成额外的作业。然而，对于想要学习艺术的学生而言，不仅可以在专业技能上得到很大的发展，也能体验到像真实大学生一样来往于工作室和图书馆的生活，是一个非常棒的课程。

At the end of the course, SAIC will exhibitour work. It’s not easy for us the get credit because they are asking for an amount of work, there are also extra works that we have to finish in the dorm.However it’s a great course for those students who would like to learn art because we can not only improve our skills and knowledge, but also experience the lifestyle of a real university student.
