9月20日（周四）、9月21日（周五），达特茅斯学院（美国“常青藤盟校”之一）、约克大学（加拿大排名前十）相继到访嘉祥国际高中部，两位招生官详细地介绍了学校的教育理念、学校环境、最新招生政策等信息。

On September 20th (Thursday) and September 21st (Friday), the admission officers of Dartmouth College，one of the American Ivy League Schools, and York University, top ten in Canada, had came to visit JXIHSD! The admissions officers gave a detailed introduction to the school’s educational philosophy, school environment, and the latest admissions policy.

在观看了一段振奋人心的达特茅斯学院宣传短片之后，招生官Mr. Tablante概括地用了4个“P”全面地介绍了达特茅斯学院。这4个“P” 分别为place、people、program、process。

After watching an inspiring promotional video, the Admissions Officer of Dartmouth College, Mr. Tablante gave a comprehensive introduction to Dartmouth  College with four “P”, place, people, program, process.

Place

达特茅斯学院坐落于风景优美的汉诺佛小镇。Mr. Tablante认为有一个中文词语可以形容达特茅斯学院，那就是“九寨沟”：风景优美，几乎无污染。在寒冷的季节，学院的学生常常在山上滑雪和进行各种户外运动。

Dartmouth College is located in the scenic town of Hanover. Mr. Tablante believes that there is a Chinese word that can describe Dartmouth College, that is, “Jiuzhaigou”, a scenic spot where has a beautiful scenery and almost no pollution. In the cold season, college students often ski in the mountains and perform a variety of outdoor sports.

People

Mr. Tablante提到，学校有个很重要的宗旨是“learning form peers”。值得一提的是，学校的学生宿舍非常有特色，就像《哈利·波特》中的霍格沃兹学院4种学院有不同的宿舍一样，达特茅斯学院宿舍分为6种：“6 different houses”。目的是为了让同样专业或同样类型的学生可以聚集在一起。在达特茅斯学院，学生会更容易找到志同道合的朋友。

Mr. Tablante mentioned that the school has a very important purpose of “learning form peers”. It is worth mentioning that the school’s student residences are very distinctive. Just like the four colleges in Hogwarts  College in “Harry Potter” have different dormitories. Dartmouth  College dormitories are divided into six categories, “6 different Houses.” The purpose is to allow students of the same profession or the same type to come together. At Dartmouth College, student unions are more likely to find like-minded friends.

Different with other schools, the students of Dartmouth College can choose which school season to begin their study. In addition, Mr. Tablante introduced the
college’s admissions policy in detail.

在最后的问答环节，国高学子就关心的话题进行了提问。达特茅斯青睐什么样的学生？学校的升学率是多少？课程设置是什么样的？学校国际学生的发展情况……Mr. Tablante耐心地进行了一一解答。

In the final Q&A session, students of JXIHSD asked questions about topics of concern. What kind of students does Dartmouth College like? What is the school’s enrollment rate? What is the course setting? The development of international students in the school… Mr. Tablante patiently answered them one by one.

约克大学位于加拿大文化经济中心城市多伦多，是加拿大排名前十的高等院校，拥有加拿大最大最古老的法学院、规模最大的文学院和知名的舒立克商学院。学校招生代官Mr. Amy Q详细地为同学们介绍了约克大学的优势专业、录取要求、就业情况等。

Located in Toronto,Canada‘s cultural and economic center, York University is the top ten university in Canada, with the largest and oldest law school, the largest liberal arts college and the renowned Schulich School of Business. Mr. Amy Q, the school enrollment representative, introduced the majors, admission requirements and employment status to the students in detail.

学校每年分为3个学期，开学时间较为灵活。此外，Mr. Amy Q还展示了约克大学基尔校区和格兰登校区的优美风景和校园内的软硬件条件。学校拥有8座图书馆，11000²英尺健身中心，440多个俱乐部，19支校际运动队……

There are three semesters each year, and the start time is more flexible. In addition, Mr. Amy Q also shows the beautiful scenery and the hardware and software conditions of York University, including the Keele Campus and Glendon Campus.
