Ph.D. Opening in the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at University of Tennessee, Knoxville

Dr. Seddik Djouadi is looking for highly-motivated students with a strong mathematical background and interests in control theory and reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm. Students will have opportunity to work on joint project with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the following areas, Optimization and Big Data Analytics in Power Systems, Smart Buildings, Renewable Energy, and Electricity Market. Students who are interested in working with large-scale systems – in particular, large-scale optimization and control for power systems are encouraged to apply.
