美国内布拉斯加大学林肯分校招收2018年访问学者

       美国内布拉斯加大学林肯分校（University of Nebraska-Lincoln 简称“UNL”）成立于1869年，是内布拉斯加大学成立最早的分校，也是该洲的学术文化中心。学术方面，最好的学科包括电机工程、化学工程、师范教育，新闻学，保险学，气候学，音乐学等。此外，食品科技、农科、动物科学和商科都获得好评。学生选修最多的学科，依次是商科管理（22%）、教育（17%）、工程（10%）、农科（8%）、家政（7%）。美国内布拉斯加大学林肯分校是美国西部第一所能够授予博士学位的研究机构，并创建了世界上第一个本科心理学实验室。

【具体要求】

We are looking for an experienced researcher who would like an opportunity to do research at a Big 10 University and enjoy the “small town” atmosphere of Lincoln, Nebraska for a year or two.  Preference will be given to individuals with a medical background in organic Chinese ginseng and organic Astrogalus. Experience with HPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS also is preferred.

The first year’s assignment will be to do independent research on the characterization of organic astragalus from Inner Mongolia and organic panax ginseng from Jilin Province (China). Analyses are expected to include antioxidants and other health promoting factors possibly associated with traditional Chinese medicine. Starting with a product which has been used for a long time to treat health issues, modern food science and medical technology will be used to to identify the functional compounds and the treatment mechanisms. Publication of research findings is expected.  

If interested in a second year, the assignment will be to do functional and health promoting foods, nutraceutical and medical products development using the same products as ingredients. That could include determining physiological functionalities. The research will be done in cooperation with Big Green (USA) Inc.,a California based company specializing in 100% gluten-free, certified organic, non-GMO products and selected organic farms associated us. Hence, these products will be traceable, organic, non GMO and nearly pesticide free. The product variety and origin will specified and targeted for particular health functions.
