入学要求

1）学位要求

MArch / M ARCH MLA DUAL DEGREE

Applicants must have completed, or expect to complete before the start of the IIT term, an undergraduate degree from an accredited educational institution with at least a B average (GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent). International applicants must have completed, or expect to complete before the start of the IIT term, a degree which is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree. If we are unable to determine the equivalency of an international degree, applicants may be asked to have their degree evaluated by an outside organization.

Candidates admitted with deficiencies in any of these prerequisites must fulfill them before matriculation. Students with a background outside of the area of architecture may be asked to complete an introductory studio prior to the start of classes. Candidates holding a pre-professional degree in architecture will be evaluated for advanced standing status on a case-by-case basis and will be notified of their specific status upon admission.

MLA U

To be admitted without conditions to the Master of   Landscape Architecture program, an applicant is required to have prior college-level   coursework in freehand drawing, biology, and earth science (geology, physical   geography, or hydrology, etc.).

Candidates lacking these prerequisites may be admitted on   the condition that they complete the required coursework before enrolling.   Candidates will be notified upon admission of their program of study, which   is determined by prior academic training and professional experience, as well   as portfolio content.

MS

The M.S. program is open to applicants holding accredited professional   degrees in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, or an allied   field. Applicants with a degree earned outside the U.S. must have the   equivalent to a first professional degree and be eligible for licensure in   their home country.

Minimum score for admission to the M.Arch. program, without an additional IIT English Language Assessment Requirement is 600/90 (TOEFL) or 6.5 (IELTS).

Minimum score for admission to the M.Arch. program, which may require an additional IIT English Language Assessment Requirement is 550/80 (TOEFL) or 6 (IELTS).

Transcripts must be submitted in the   original language and in English. Translations must come from the institution   or from a professional translation service.

If the degree is   completed, you MUST upload your original degree certificate or provisional   certificate along with your academic transcripts or mark sheets in both   languages through the online Application Portal.

Your professional statement should be written in essay format and should include discussion of your reasons f
or pursuing graduate study, your academic background, your research interests (if applicable), relevant professional experience or related accomplishments to date, and your career goals. A typical statement is between 500-2000 words in length.

Portfolios should demonstrate your skills in design and problem solving. Include at least 3 projects. The number of pages should be limited to 15; all portfolios must be in PDF format and should not exceed 10 MB. Labels and captions should be clear and legible for each project; be sure to indicate if the project is   academic, professional or personal. If team projects are included, your individual contribution must be clearly identified. Please see the portfolio guide for more information.
