柏贵华老师简介:柏贵华是美国农业部分子遗传学家,堪萨斯州立大学遗传育种学教授,也是美国小谷物基因分型实验室主任。其实验室免费为美国硬粒冬小麦主产区的育种家提供分子标记服务;研究方向主要集中在构建高通量基因分型技术平台、开发与重要农艺性状紧密连锁的分子标记、精细定位及克隆与生物/非生物逆境有关的抗性基因及产量性状基因尤其是抗赤霉病基因Fhb的克隆。目前该实验室已定位多个抗病位点如耐铝中毒、抗穗发芽、抗三锈(条锈、叶锈、秆锈)及白粉病及一些抗虫等性状。该实验室共参与培育品种超过50个。在抗赤霉病研究方面,首次报道在中国抗源中携带效应较大的QTL且构建抗赤霉病评价体系作为金标准广泛在全世界应用。

Dr. Guihua Bai is a Research Molecular Geneticist in US Department of Agroiculture and Professor in Genetics and Breeding in Kansas State University. He is also the Director of USDA Central Small Grain Genotyping lab located in Manhattan, KS USA. Dr. Bai’sLab has both research and service components. His lab provides free marker service to breeders in the US hard winter wheat region. His research focuses on developing and implementing high-throughput genotyping technologies and tightly linked markers to agronomically important traits for marker-assisted breeding,fine mapping and cloning important genes or QTLs for resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses and yield components and developing locally adapted FHB resistant germplasm using marker-assisted backcross. His lab has mapped numerous QTLs for wheat resistance to aluminum toxicity, preharvest sprouting,three rusts, powdery mildew, Hessian Fly, wheat curl mite, tan spot, and forwheat yield components. His lab has cloned a gene for resistance to wheatpreharvest sprouting and for wheat FHB resistance (Fhb1), and contributed tocloning severalgenes in Medicago truncatulaand sorghum bicolor. His lab co-released more than 50 hard winter wheatcultivars and germplasm with regional breeders. For FHB research, his lab firstreported the major effect QTL for FHB resistance in Chinese sources, firstestablished FHB quantitative scoring method for genetic study, which has beenused as gold standard for quantification of FHB resistance worldwide, andrecently found that a deletion mutation in TaHRC is responsible for Fhb1 resistance in Ning7840 and many other Chinese germplasm.
