Job Description

The Morgan lab at the MBL seeks a highly motivatedindividual to join the Eugene Bell Center for Regenerative Biology and TissueEngineering as a Postdoctoral Researcher. The successful candidate will work onmechanisms of successful spinal cord regeneration in vertebrates.

Qualifications

Applicantsshould have a Ph.D. in Neurobiology or a related field. Must be independent,enthusiastic, self-motivated, productive, and enjoy working in a highlycollaborative environment. Must have substantial prior experience withmolecular biology (e.g. RNA-Seq, qPCR), bioinformatics, comparative analyses,and behavioral approaches.

ApplicationInformation

The goalof the project is to identify conserved factors that promote successful spinalcord regeneration, using comparative molecular approaches. Position will be for1-1.5 years, but could be extended beyond this period contingent upon progressand securing additional funding.

Job Description

The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seekingcandidates for the position of postdoctoral fellow in engineering. Postdoctoralpositions become available periodically under a variety of research grants andprojects in the college. We are seeking applications from individuals with aPhD in any one area of engineering such as: aerospace, chemical, civil,computer science and software, electrical and computer, industrial and systems,and mechanical engineering. Also of interest are related fields ofmicroelectronics, automotive electronics, microfibers, highway research,materials, asphalt technology, pulp and paper, chemistry, transportation,detection and food safety and information technology. The positions areavailable for a minimum of one year as full-time 12-month appointments based onneed, performance and funding, with renewal possible for a maximum of fouryears. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Review ofapplications will begin after August 7, 2018 and continue throughout the yearas positions become available.

Qualifications

The selected candidates for these positions must beable to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the timeappointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposedterm of employment, and be able to communicate effectively in English.
