1. About the Sustainability Systems Analysis Lab at North Carolina State University

The Sustainability Systems Analysis Lab (PI Dr. Yuan Yao) builds analytical models to quantify environmental/economic/social implications of emerging technologies in industrial systems. Our work links fundamental engineering systems with scaled economic, environmental, and social impacts. In particular, we develop decision support tools and data analytics to analyze alternative scenarios and identify behavioral, technological, and policy pathways toward a more sustainable future.

2.Description of the Post-Doc Position

We are looking for an energetic candidate to work on the Life Cycle Assessment and Techno-Economic Analysis of:

 ●  Different options for materials recycling (e.g., recycled cotton and plastic)

 ●  Materials and chemicals derived from biomass

Candidates who have peer-reviewed journal publications related to LCA and TEA with backgrounds in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and other relevant engineering backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

$50,000/year with benefits.
